A Hidden Discovery

Shade sighed as his littermate rushed ahead at full boar, her tail waving excitedly. "Sakura slow down, you could get hurt."

She did not, in fact, slow down. "Come on, slow-poke, if we keep at the pace you're going we'll be lucky to make it by sunset!" He frowned, tail flicking. She, unfortunately had a point. He didn't look forward to travelling in the dark. So he sped up a little, following his sister as she continued to rush ahead. And then Sakura vanished, forcing Shade to skid to a stop. "Sakura?!"

"Down here! Woah, come check this out!"

He frowned, noticing that there was a burrow of sorts. She'd likely fallen into the furrow before the actual den. "Sakura what-"

"Shade there's carvings! Come look at this!"

He paused and jumped down, following his sister into the ground, but froze upon entering the cave. This wasn't a burrow. And Sakura was correct, there were carvings in the stone, of stars and of feline-looking creatures, and a much more detailed carving of what was clearly a marshie beside a question mark. Sakura sniffed at it. "I wonder what it means. It's asking something, right?" He nods. "I think so. We should go, maybe the others will know something." Sakura nods, and the two exit and continue on their way, moving with a shared speed this time. They had to get to the group. They had to share their findings.
